Free speech is under attack again. The concept of mob rule is sweeping over America in terrible fashion and it is going to brush away many of our constitutional rights.

Freedom of speech is threatened by mob rule and political correctness

The latest victim in this foaming frenzy of political correctness is rodeo clown from Missouri who is being held to public crucifixion in order to satisfy the teeming throngs of hungry piranha that long for a new victim.

At the Missouri state fair, this entertainer dared make fun of the President in an act of political satire and buffoonery and for that is being subjected to the will of angry mob who proverbially will tear him to pieces for it. Make no mistake; this is an attack on free speech as much as it is an attack on this clown.

If we are all Trayvon Martin, then we are all rodeo clowns, who merely engaged in an act of comic relief at a rodeo by dressing up in an Obama mask and acting the fool to the delight of the roaring crowd at the show. What was merely a silly show, that perhaps was not in the best taste, and been portrayed by the enemies of free speech and clear thought as an act of racism and hate speech. The head of the NAACP in Missouri has gone so far as to ask the government to investigate this comedian, and suggest that this show is akin to the violence in Aurora, Newtown and Tucson.

Thoughts and words are sacrosanct in America. We codified our natural rights of freedom of speech in our Constitution and thought it important enough to place it as our first law of the land. While we have stated that our government can pass no law to abridge that right, we have allowed the unwashed masses to tear apart the very meaning of free speech so that now anyone with a following and an agenda can socially and financially destroy anyone that they don’t agree with.

Perhaps it’s time that America rethinks and expands its First Amendment protections.

You cannot have free speech when mobs of angry malcontents can willfully destroy someone for something they say or do. Americans are holding back their tongues and refusing to participate in criticisms of the scoundrels in Washington for fear of their jobs, their privacy, and their own well-being. If the freedom of speech is to have any meaning at all, then it must be vigilantly protected from its destruction no matter the source, public or private.

This rodeo clown is being subjected to thought control in the form of ‘sensitivity training’ by law. Replace the words ‘sensitivity training’ with ‘mind control’ and you’ll have a better understanding of the crimes being perpetrated upon this person.  You must act in the way we think and conform to the mindset of the establishment—this is the end result of political correctness.

Worse, leaders who are supposed to represent the natural laws of the land in the Constitution are joining the malcontents and leftist zealots in Washington against this man. Seeking only votes to protect their phony baloney congressional seats, they sacrifice principle and are abandoning reason as they enjoin this public lynch mob and willingly cheer his demise.

There is only one way free speech remains free—it must be all encompassing, unrestricted and most of all, free from the spectacle of mob sentiment. Free speech must be vigorously and jealously guarded. It is only in this way free speech stays free.
