Obama should be called “The Great Divider”

When President Obama was running for office one of things touted about him, and in his own campaign, was that he wanted to stop the divider style politics. He said that our nation needs healing.

Unfortunately, the President is going to go down as one of the most divisive President’s in American history.

He has no one to blame but himself too. Let’s start with the health care bill. Despite a growing need for change in our health care system, he pushed a radical agenda onto the American people that reinvented how we pay for insurance, driving up the costs for almost everyone. After the 2700 page bill was finalized, the majority of Americans wanted it re-done. They were not happy with many provisions of the bill.

Did the President go back in a public session and ask for it to be redone?

No. Meeting in closed sessions, hidden from the public, the bill was jammed through Congress, using parliamentary tricks and games to bypass legitimate filibuster discussions. Although the majority of Americans were against this bill, it was passed.

Look at the economic stimulus package. Massive legislation and spending, when people wanted government to rein in excessive grants and an entitlement was made the order of the day. The Feds seized many banks, seized GM and is making cars now that don’t sell and are behind the times in technology. People are buying Fords, and lots of them are sold mainly because they don’t want to buy GM.

Although we have a black President, he still thinks that country is a bunch of rednecks and racists. Look at his comments about the incident in Boston when a black professor got involved in a supposed harassment issue. He had to put his two cents in, and inflame things worse. So bad in fact, he had to have some half-arsed beer meeting at the White House. But then the issue of racism is much more palatable to discuss than a failed economic strategy, nagging joblessness, and war that is being fought unsuccessfully.

And how about the mosque they were going to build at the site of Ground Zero? There was a brilliant move, siding with the mosque builders instead of the howling electorate. Right or wrong, it was political suicide to even bring up the topic. Even Harry Reid knew enough to present the argument in the proper context.

The President is clearly an eastern intellectual liberal, and constantly shows his distaste for the American people with almost every comment. Even before he was elected, there were various things that he said that should have warned the American people of his viewpoints. Remember the ‘guns and bibles’ quote. That summed up his opinions pretty well I think.

Look at his political campaign and you can see it relies upon class warfare to garner votes. We hear all the time about ‘those evil corporations’, and yet fail to mention ‘those evil corporations’ are run by folks like you and me, Americans. And employ lots of other Americans. Remember them Mr. President? The ones who you are supposed to actually represent? We are what built this country up in the first place- you are merely a steward for four years. We are not a ‘nation of cowards’ as Eric Holder has called us. We are a nation of builders, creators and hardworking individuals. We are pioneers of the human spirit.

Now we have the left and right at each other’s throats. You look at some of the comments made by both sides of the aisle in the Congressional record and you have to go back to pre-civil war records to find anything so divisive. It’s a wonder the folks up on the Hill aren’t brawling in the aisles.

As the saying goes- ‘Turds roll downhill’, to put it nicely. People take their cue from the man on the top.

The man on the top is President Obama. I’d crown him the Great Divider, but I get the impression he would enjoy wearing one.
